The national security operation headed by the U.S. to hinder the creation of a new international reserve currency is coming to a close.
Arrested four days before the start of Deauville G8 Summit, FMI Director-General Dominique Strauss-Khan had been imprisoned on charges of attempted rape. He was later granted bail and placed under house arrest in exchange for his resignation. Now that his successor, Christine Lagarde, has been designated, the charges should be dropped and Mr. Strauss-Kahn set free.
