The 29th edition of the Fajr Film Festival - one of the most important to be organised in Asia - has just concluded in Tehran.
In addition to the annual prizes, the jury decided to allocate a special Human Rights prize, which it bestowed on Thierry Meyssan for his performance in "The Black Box of September 11, a critique of the Empire of lies and the culture of Resistance".
The film, which is directed by Mohammedreza Eslamloo, features the making-of of the 11 September documentary produced by the President of Voltaire Network (to be released at the forthcoming international conference against terrorism) and his journey to the landmarks of the Iranian revolution. Thierry Meyssan plays himself in the film.
Mohammedreza Eslamloo is well known for his films on the plight of the Iraq-Iran war combatants.
This full-length film, shot in English in 2010, was screened for the first time in Persian. It will be shown in movie theaters in Iran and should come out in various foreign languages.
