Indian coast guards boarded, on October 11th 2013, the MV Seaman Guard Ohio after having discovered weapons aboard.
The ten crew members and the 25 guards were placed in custody to undergo interrogation by the secret services.
The MV Seaman Guard Ohio is a counter-piracy ship owned and operated by the private military company AdvanFort.
The AdvanFort management thanked the Indian government for allowing its ship to enter Indian territorial waters when it sought safe harbor during a typhoon. But the Indian government suspects the company of attempting to deliver weapons to a guerilla group.
