Lutfo Ephraim Shiyinsimbi Dlamini, Swaziland’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister thanked in this capital the Cuban support to his country in
the healthcare sector.
In a meeting with the Cuban Health Minister Jose Ramon Balaguer, the Swazi FM said he felt honored with the presence of Cuban doctors in that African nation and requested for more health professionals to cooperate with his country.
Shiyinsimbi Dlamini forwarded his people’s gratitude for the work the Cuban professionals do what shows, he underscored, their solidarity and humanism.
He highlighted the training of Swazi youngsters at the Latin American Medical School (ELAM), which started in 2005. He also was interested in Cuban medicines, vaccines and other products of Cuban biotechnology.
Up to date, 85 Cubans have cooperated in the African country and there are currently 17 there through the Health Comprehensive Program, created in 1998 and extended over 20 countries throughout the world.
Meanwhile, the Cuban Minister recalled the friendship ties between Cuba and Africa and explained that cooperation is an important means for the relations among peoples.
