The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has acknowledged its inability to keep the price of oil at the $ 60 level. Washington may be expected, as from 2022, to start jacking up its prices to ensure the profitability of shale oil extraction in the face of mounting costs.
