In an interview with MSNBC’s The “ReidOut” on 5 April 2022, US Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield admitted that it would not be possible to exclude Russia from the Security Council.

Since day one of the Russian intervention in Ukraine, the United States has consulted with almost all of UN Member States in an effort to prepare for the exclusion of Russia.

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield is now pushing to make Russia’s position in the Council particularly uncomfortable, a goal which she has already set in motion by accusing Moscow of committing a massacre in Bucha.
