Interviewed on 8 July 2022 on LCI, former Polish President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa spoke out in support of dismantling the Russian Federation.

In his opinion, it would be appropriate either to incite the revolt of the 60 nationalities trapped in the Federation, or to split up the country in another way, by reducing its population from 144 to 50 million inhabitants.
