Aleksander Smolar

Aleksander Smolar is the president of the Stefar Batory Foundation (the Polish affiliate of the Soros Foundation). In charge of Research at the National Center of Scientific Research (CNRS), he was a special advisor to Tadeuz Mazowiecki, first head of government of post-Communist Poland.
